Discover the Amalfi Coast as it was in the days of La Dolce Vita, aboard Carolina, an original 1969 Fiat 500. This is a private tour for two, usually led by Alessandro himself: driver, tour escort and storyteller, he shares the stories of the coast in English or Italian, choosing the best spots for photos and taking you to corners you would hardly find on your own.

Carolina is a genuine original Fiat 500 of the era, kept with no modifications whatsoever. Every bend of the coast comes with the unmistakable sound of her engine and the charm of the 1960s: a truly authentic vintage atmosphere that no replica can match.

From Sorrento, the coastal road unfolds bend after bend, with stops at the finest viewpoints. In Positano, the village that legend says Poseidon created for the nymph Pasitea, you have an hour to wander among pastel houses, Positano-fashion boutiques and terraces over the sea. Next comes a 30-minute stop in Praiano, the quietest village on the coast.

In Amalfi you have two hours for the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, the piazza and the quieter lanes of the ancient Maritime Republic. Prosecco and water are included, for a toast on the drive back to Sorrento.

Itinerary

  1. Departure from Sorrento: Meet your driver at Piazza Angelina Lauro, next to the fountain.
  2. Amalfi Coast Road: Stops at panoramic viewpoints for photos and videos.
  3. Positano (1 hour): Free time among the lanes, boutiques and sea-view terraces.
  4. Praiano (30 minutes): A stop in the quietest village on the Amalfi Coast.
  5. Amalfi (2 hours): The Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, the piazza and the lanes of the ancient Maritime Republic.
  6. Return to Sorrento: Drive back with prosecco and water included.
